As a seasoned communications specialist, I have a broad range of skills and expertise that allows me to create solutions from a multidiscipliary perspective. Over the past decade, I have worked within the technology and nonprofit sectors, primarily focusing on internal communications, content marketing, email marketing, and nonprofit communications.
I’m deeply invested in my work, and I thrive on projects with the potential to make a positive impact on others. My most recent experience involves supporting internal communications in the technology industry. Building intranet content, communicating employee benefits, exploring workplace strategies, and creatively sharing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts are areas I thoroughly enjoy. I love understanding and sharing stories about how an employee experiences an organization.
No matter what I'm doing, my goal is the same: I want to make interesting content that tells a great story. I want to deliver communications that connect with and inspire people.

The personal bits
I am a native Texan and currently live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I live with my husband, who happens to be an exceptional coffee maker, our two children, and our three dogs. Naturally introverted, I value meaningful experiences and genuine relationships. I prioritize spending time outdoors, though I often find the most enjoyable view to be in my own backyard.
In the summer of 2023, our family’s life took a turn when my eldest son was diagnosed with a rare pediatric liver cancer. I took a break from my full-time job and ultimately stepped away permanently. I’m thankful I could prioritize my family while my son underwent treatment and recovered from a life-saving liver transplant.
Today, my resilient and courageous five-year-old has no evidence of disease. His battle and our experiences changed my role as a parent and as a professional. I joined the freelance industry to balance my family’s needs and continue to make a positive impact on others through storytelling.
It's an honor to spend my days keeping up with my two energetic sons and partnering with organizations and nonprofits to create meaningful communications.
